Students and staff at The Oaks Academy in Crewe are delighted with this summer's GCSE results. Students worked exceptionally hard, demonstrating fantastic resilience to gain such great results.
In particular, grades in Maths and English have significantly improved, with the number of students achieving standard or strong passes doubling this academic year. This positive progress made by Year 11 students at The Oaks Academy is in stark contrast to national performance, where GCSE results have shown a decline.
Headteacher Peter Kingdom congratulated the students on their hard work and well-deserved success:
“These results represent a tremendous achievement for the students who have worked incredibly hard to achieve this level of success. I would also like to commend the efforts of the staff, who have provided the individual care and attention that has enabled so many of our students to meet and, in many cases, exceed their personal targets.”
There are many high-achieving students this year, but special mentions go to Alicja M, Wiktoria L, Martina I, Arleta S and Sophie T, who achieved strong grades in their subjects, including a range of 9s, 8s and 7s. For photos taken on results day, see The Oaks Academy Facebook Page
The Oaks Academy is looking forward to sharing this success story with prospective parents and pupils at their Open Evening on September 29th, 6pm - 8pm. If you have a child in Year 5 or 6 and are considering secondary schools in the Crewe area, you're very welcome to attend:
