Support for Early Career Teachers
The first few years of the teaching profession are essential for developing the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to be the very best teachers and future leaders. We support Early Career Teachers through our partnership with Best Practice Network to deliver the Early Career Framework. Designed to follow seamlessly from Initial Teacher Training, the 2-year fully funded induction programme gives ECTs structured support based on the Early Career Framework and additionally provides for the training of in-school mentors.
The Early Career Framework has been designed with the Early Career Teacher (ECT) in mind, to support them in developing the skills and confidence needed to flourish in the classroom. Covering everything from effective pedagogy to the intricacies of curriculum planning and assessment strategies, this core content is the foundation upon which future teaching prowess is built.
