Two Crewe UTC graduates were invited to the House of Lords last month to receive their Gold Baker Award from Lord Baker himself. Charlie and Sam were part of the very first T Level cohort and are both now studying engineering at university.
The Baker Award celebrates outstanding achievements in technical education, by rewarding students who have partaken in work experience placements and employer-led projects while developing essential workplace skills, like communication and problem-solving. This award highlights the unique aspects of technical education that go beyond the curriculum.
