Shavington Primary School wants to thank so many parents for visiting them to see their OPAL programme in action! Headteacher Jo Young says:

"It was wonderful to welcome so many families and share the exciting learning experiences our children enjoy outdoors. Your support means a great deal to our school community and helps us continue to provide rich, engaging experiences for all our children. We hope you enjoyed seeing the children explore, create, and learn in our outdoor environment, and that you left with a real sense of the benefits this approach brings to their development and wellbeing."

As well as visiting school, parents have also been very supportive about OPAL in their Parent Survey this term:

The OPAL project is fantastic and I'm so happy my child has access to this kind of play everyday.

I love the opal play scheme, and I love how they incorporate play into the day.

Supports and encourages self confidence, adventure, curiosity and well being.

OPAL is fantastic, really good to see/hear that children are outside playing and having fun.

Children are encouraged to learn through play.
