Congleton High School students and staff have raised over £7,100 for Movember - the global charity that raises awareness and supports people relating to testicular and prostate cancer, and men's mental health.
The Congleton team has raised funds by growing moustaches and walking, running, swimming and cycling this throughout November – successfully surpassing their 3,000km target! The fundraising reached a peak last weekend with three staff climbing Snowdon. Thanks to their incredible efforts, the team has accumulated £7,163 – the most ever raised in a charity event by the school, which puts them 9th out of 476 schools in the national event, and is the highest ranked state school in England!
Headteacher, Heidi Thurland commented “We are incredibly proud of the remarkable efforts of our students and staff. Raising such a significant amount over the past month required exceptional planning and dedication for a truly worthy cause. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed.”
